The main purpose of the SANTABARBARA HOSPITAL is to Deliver high quality services in inpatient and outpatient settings.
The medical and paramedical staff adheres to a system of ethical values based on the quality of services and patient-centeredness.

All resources are committed to taking all necessary measures to minimize user inconvenience even in cases of irregular operation or service interruption attributable to force majeure, and to deliver health care services in a coordinated manner across departments.
Continuity of services is ensured through the simplification and regularity of access routes to services, in compliance with applicable laws.
Right to choose
The citizen’s right to choose the facility and/or operators is guaranteed, in accordance with the provisions of current regulations.
Participation
Citizens are guaranteed participation as the right to assert their opinions and express their views on the services they receive, recognizing their right to request information concerning them (in accordance with Law No. 241 of August 7, 1990) and giving them the right to make proposals, suggestions and file complaints.

The efficiency of the organization, is pursued through the activation of paths and procedures that ensure the optimal use of human, technical and economic-financial resources.

Through technological development, research and continuing education of practitioners, the highest effectiveness of performance is pursued.

Safety and adequacy of medical services
Maximum safety is ensured in the practice of medicine, the performance of treatments and the supervision of patients.
The medical teams of each functional group, who are responsible for the health of patients, are put in such structural and logistical conditions as to be able to carry out their work with the most appropriate and modern technologies currently available.
Confidentiality and Privacy
To protect the proper processing of personal data, a personal data controller has been appointed in the position of the medical director, in accordance with National Law 341/99 and in application of Regulation (EU) no.
2016/679 on privacy.
Environmental protection
SANTABARBARA HOSPITAL pays special attention to the protection of public health and the environment in accordance with European standards regarding recycling and waste disposal and energy production from renewable sources (UNI EN ISO 14001:2015).
Safety of workers
SANTABARBARA HOSPITAL pursues the objective of ensuring safe and healthy conditions in the workplace through the implementation of a permanent prevention process (Legislative Decree 81/2008).
A safety management system is already in place internally to ensure the effective implementation of the provisions of the risk assessment document and more generally of prevention (OHSAS 18001:2007).
Fire safety
SANTABARBARA HOSPITAL is equipped with adequate fire-fighting facilities (portable fire extinguishers, hydrants) in accordance with current legal requirements.
The emergency and evacuation plan provides for the intervention of designated personnel to assist and guide users.
Emergency exits are identified by emergency lights of sufficient intensity and safety signs indicating escape routes.
