L’U.F. of Rehabilitation promotes the care and recovery of autonomy in the post-acute phase of illness, through multidisciplinary care and the identification of the Individual Rehabilitation Project most appropriate to the patient’s clinical need.
Performs intensive rehabilitation activities in Ordinary or Day Hospitalization (DH), providing continuous care with dedicated Physicians and Nurses.
The Rehabilitation Team consists of various professionals such as Physiatrist, Physiotherapist, Neuropsychologist, Speech Therapist and Social Worker.
Neurological Rehabilitation specializes in treating the outcomes of brain stroke, head trauma, spinal cord compression disorders, speech and cognitive disorders.
Orthopedic Rehabilitation is dedicated to the treatment of post-traumatic and post-surgical (arthroplasty) orthopedic conditions.
Cardiac Rehabilitation is part of the medical treatments intended for heart disease in the post-operative or post-myocardial infarction phase.
Rehabilitation aims to assist the heart patient, not only medically, but also psychologically and educationally, in order to anticipate his or her complete recovery and reintegration into social life.
