At F.U. of General Medicine are admitted patients in elective and emergency admission mode, transferred from the Department of Emergency and Acceptance of Vittorio Emanuele Hospital in Gela, suffering from pneumopathies, metabolic, gastroenterological and neoplastic diseases, nephropathies, patients with peripheral ulcerative lesions (vascular and diabetic), who undergo the clinical-instrumental treatments inherent to the pathology.
In addition to the standard radiological examinations the following are performed morphological examinations, such as neck-thyroid ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound, bronchoscopy, spirometry, thyroid needle aspiration, and Holter pressor.
The “Syncope Unit” makes use of the most sophisticated comprehensive diagnostics (basal and pharmacologically enhanced tilting table test) electrophysiological study, loop recorder implantation for the diagnosis of syncopes of various nature.
